Vardar Film Skopje
Vardar Film, the first film production company in Macedonia, was founded in 1947. Over a period of more than five decades – under the celluloid era, the company produced a great number of memorable films, now widely considered as classics.
The old technology, which was not restricted to only 1s and 0s inevitably influenced the creative expression – filmmakers and film workers had a different approach to film form, which was reflected in the honesty and uniqueness of the scenes.
Today, Vardar Film is a place where production companies can get technical support and information on production facilities, costumes, props and film vehicles. Within its premises the company also operates a small theater hall with 45 seats, intended for test screenings.
