On 13.04.2022, the director of NIFC Vardar Film, Mr. Sani Saidi, accompanied by part of his team, arrived in Prizren, R. of Kosovo, at the invitation of the Lumbardi Foundation Kosovo, where a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the two institutions, which will deepen cooperation at the international level.
The Lumbardi Foundation and NUFC Vardar Film – Skopje are committed to deepening the long-term cooperation in the development of film programs, education on film history, programs for exchange of experiences between the two institutions, as well as expanding the capacities and regional cooperation of the institutions,of film and cinematic heritage.
As part of this collaboration, the first two films will be screened, Thirst (1971) and Macedonian part of hell (1971) produced by Vardar Film, under the film program “LXX”, and as part of the planned activities to mark 70 years since the opening of Kino Lumbardi.
The glorious past of the two institutions in the world of cinematography will be the driving force for the joint projects in the film industry that promise a bright future with many successes ❗
Lumbardi is a former cinema, civic space and independent cultural institution based in Prizren, Kosovo. Meanwhile, the Lumbardi Foundation is a non-governmental organization founded in April 2015 as a continuation of the Lumbardi Cinema Protection Initiative.
